Filling moulding for suppositery & lipstic

In pharmaceutical industry, suppository is a drug delivery system that is inserted into the human body part where it dissolves. Pharmaceutical pessary and analgestics are less known alternative terms for suppositories in pharmaceutical industry.

Greasy base such as cocoa butter with active pharmaceutical ingredients and other excipients are dissolved to prepare suppositories. Suppositories are also made of glycerol and gelatin, water soluble base such as polyethylene glycol.

The vessel used for mixing is thermostatically heated. The ingredients are stirred, mixed and melted in single operation avoiding any interruption during the filling process.
