The roller compactor machine is used for amalgamation and dry granulation of pharmaceutical ingredients.

Pharmaceutical products basically consists of active pharmaceutical ingredients and excipients like flow agents, disintegrating material, binders, etc. These ingredients and excipients are commonly in form of fine granules or powder with diverse properties. An effective tabletting, filling capsules and proper processing could be obtained after proper conditioning of these powders.

Dry granulation process, without the need of adding binders or water, produces free flowing granules from the active pharmaceutical ingredients and other excipients.

The ingredients in form of powder pass through the rolls of roller compactor under very high pressure. This results into a solid compact sheet or flakes of ingredients. These flakes or compact sheet of ingredients are reduced in size to obtain the desired grain size. The machine takes extra care to prevent the generation of fine during this process.

Shakti Pharmatech offers two models of roller compactor with rolls of 200×50mm diameter width and 200×70mm diameter width. The pharmaceutical ingredients in form of powder could be processed and converted into granules of desired sizes within very short time using Shakti Pharmatech's roller compactor. Versatile design of Shakti Pharmatech's roller compactor makes it suitable for the small scale production too.
