Colloid Mill

Colloid mill is used for Shearing, mixing, and reduction of particles to achieve uniform dispersions and stable emulsions. Colloid mill machine minimizes the particle size of solid in suspension in a liquid or homogenizes the liquids of different properties by minimizing the size of droplets. The high level of hydraulic shear is applied to process the liquid which increases the stability of suspensions and emulsions.

Mini colloid mill is developed for research and development institutions, pharmaceutical laboratory, and pharmacy colleges. It occupies less floor space simultaneously giving high process capacity and is available in standard and GMP models. All the contact parts are made from SS 316. The model comes with plain and water jacketed options with straight and horizontal drive.

Ideal design of a colloid mill is rotor and a stator with smooth, ground and lapped faces. With this design, found in the Shakti Pharmatech's Colloid Mill, the thin film of material between them will be of uniform cross section and will be subjected to the maximum amount of shear as it spins around.

Shakti Pharmatech's mini colloid mill provides a clean trouble-free operation. Easy dismantle of operating parts makes the cleaning of colloid mill requiring less clean-up time. Detailed checkup and cleaning of complete milling chamber is easily finished.
